ANTONELLI FOUNDATIONS

The Antonelli Foundations is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental protection and scientific study, established by Alexandre and Anna Antonelli, with significant backing from the Ax:son Johnson family.

 

CORE OBJECTIVES

 

Research & Conservation: Fostering scientific study and protecting primary rainforest ecosystems.

Restoration: Supporting efforts to restore degraded land.

Sustainable Stewardship: Managing land in a way that balances ecological needs with the requirements of local communities.

 

KEY OPERATIONS & INFRASTRUCTURE

 

The Foundation manages two primary sites in the Rio de Janeiro region of Brazil:

RPPN Alto da Figueira: A 120-hectare private reserve near Nova Friburgo. 

Pirineus: A 300-hectare site within the Tres Picos State Park featuring simpler facilities for field operations.

 

The Foundation intends to expand its impact by acquiring or managing more properties in the region as funding grows.
